At Maharishi Preschool in the heart of Johannesburg, young learners aged 3 to 6,including our Grade R class are building friendships, discovering the joy of learning, and gaining the confidence to thrive.
Our holistic, Montessori-based approach focuses entirely on a child’s strengths rather than their weaknesses, allowing them to progress naturally at their own pace.
The Power of Montessori: A Breakthrough Journey When one learner joined us English was his third language, making communication in a new environment challenging at first. However, his hands on phonetic materials in our Montessori environment allowed him to connect sounds, sand paper letters and visual cues organically. Within just six months the child was not only comprehending and speaking English fluently he was reading with confidence. This transformation highlights how the right foundation during these critical early years unlocks a child's true potential.
Many of our families face severe financial challenges, making quality early childhood development out of reach without help. Your contribution directly provides classroom resources, learning materials, nutritious daily meals, and a safe, nurturing space.
How You Can Help We are raising R238,000 to fund all learners at Maharishi Preschool which breaks down to R7,000 per child for the entire year.
R350: Sponsors 5% of a learner’s annual education.
R3,500: Sponsors 50% of a learner’s annual education.
