Every child deserves a safe and secure place to learn. Unfortunately, the roof of the school hall and one of our classrooms has been severely damaged, leaving learners and teachers exposed to the weather and disrupting teaching and learning.
As shown in picture, the damaged roof urgently needs to be repaired so that our children can return to the learning in a safe environment. The school hall is an important space for assemblies, school events, reading space, community gatherings while the classroom is essential for daily teaching.
Mountain Home Junior Primary was mainly built for children of Mbutshane area and Sweetwaters which is a rural area with high rate of unemployment. The school is closer to them. Without the school learners will have to travel more than 2 km radius to receive education.
We are appealing to kind-hearted individuals, businesses, organizations and community members to partner with us by donating towards the replacement and repair of these roofs. Every contribution, no matter how small, will bring us one step closer to providing our learners with the safe and dignified learning environment they deserve.
